BEATRICE A.O.A. FISHER - FOUNDER, C.E.O & PRINCIPAL
Mrs. Beatrice Awura Oboshie Allua Fisher is a member of The International Federation of Women Lawyers and The Commonwealth Lawyers Association. The Nigerian Bar Association, The African Bar Association, The International Bar Association, as well as The Nigerian Society of University Women.
Mrs. Beatrice Fisher as Principal of Beatrice Fisher and Co. has headed her private corporate practice since 1975. She worked as a Legal Practitioner with Obafemi Awolowo and Company for three years, prior to 1975. She was called to the Bar in Nigeria in 1972 and became a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
She was appointed a Notary Public by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1979. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators of the United Kingdom and is also a member of the Nigerian Branch of the said Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
BABATOPE IBITOLA was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1991at the Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos State. Right from the outset, his chosen career path has, decidedly, been litigation which has seen him traversing a whole gamut of judicial fora: from the Magistrates' Court to the High Courts, Federal and States, through judicial tribunals like the Failed Banks Tribunal, to the Appellate Courts.
As a young practitioner, he was blessed to have undergone quality tutelage under a number of the legal profession's leading lights like late Chief Debo Akande (SAN), late Chief Gani Fawehinmi (SAN), Chief C.N.Z. Azike and Mr. Kehinde Aina, who propagated and popularized the concept and practice of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in Nigeria's legal practice.
He took a short brake from active advocacy/litigation in 1999, and had a stint at the NNPC, Ikoyi Lagos Office in year 2000, as a legal officer, and shortly afterwards resumed active litigation in 2001. His major areas of practice are commercial litigation involving banking, insurance and property laws, human rights advocacy, and a limited involvement in defence of criminal prosecution.
Mrs. Yemisi Onaopemipo graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 2002 and was called to the Nigeria bar in 2004; she holds a Master’s Degree (LL.M) of the University of Lagos, 2008.
She worked in the legal department of Tower Securities & Investments Limited between September 2007 and December 2008 where she helped the stock brokerage firm in the drafting and preparation of all kinds of commercial agreements. She also rendered legal advice and opinions on regulatory and compliance issues. She resigned in 2008 and had a brief stint with Harvesters International Christian Centre where she managed the Human Resources and Administrative Departments. She thereafter joined JCCC Limited by Guarantee, a non-governmental organization in October 2009, where she provided high level services in their legal and administrative departments.
She left JCCC and joined Felix Ogunmade & Co in 2012. Where she handled for Clients, various secretarial and administrative services, and also advises on corporate governance, capital market laws and practices. She headed their Corporate/Commercial Department.
She is versed in drafting, preparation and review of all kinds of commercial agreements, employment contracts and other complex commercial documents. She also possesses good knowledge of the operation and administration of public institutions as well as non-governmental organisations among other things.
She is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN).
She joined Beatrice Fisher and Co in January 2018.
Victor Ifeanyi Chukwu Emele is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association. A graduate of the Faculty of Law, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He Attended the Nigerian Law School Lagos Campus and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2007. He worked briefly in the law firm of Ken Nwogbo & Co before joining us.
His areas of specialty are Corporate and Commercial Law, Commercial litigation and Arbitration (ADR)
